I was a big fan of the original '13 Cameras'. It was a sleeper hit that I didn't really see coming. I thought they might have been pushing it a little by throwing in a sequel, but to my pleasant surprise it was another really high quality edition to the series. The villain was menacing, the victims were interesting (enough) characters and there were some scenes featuring excellent tension.
There are three story-arcs being followed in the film. At first I thought they might have been being too ambitious but it turns out it actually was a really good notion. It meant that no one story felt too stretched and it kept everything feeling fresh and exciting for the duration of the film. Films that try to do too much can sometimes become confusing and lose focus. '14 Cameras' though keeps every thing very coherent by defining characters and locations very well. Needless to say I was very impressed by this film, and while I don't think it's quite as good as the original it is certainly still worth watching.

This series continues to surprise me
This is a step down from the original but still a great addition to the horror genre
14 Cameras (2018) is a movie my wife and I watched some time ago on Netflix during the pandemic. The storyline follows a group of friends who rent a summer getaway home at a rate too good to be true. Little do they know a perverted and obsessed property manager has installed secret cameras all over the house and sneaks in and out doing foul stuff with their personal items when they leave. Will the visitors ever catch the property manager in his hijinks? This movie is directed by Seth Fuller and Scott Hussion in both of their directorial debuts. The movie stars Neville Archambault (13 Cameras),Chelsea Edmundson (Army of the Dead),Lora Martinez-Cunningham (The Book of Eli) and John-Paul Howard (Hell and Highwater). The storyline for this picture is a nice and appropriate twist on the first film. This contains unique and fantastic horror content, just like the first film which introduces vial humans as, as good horror content as anything. Neville Archambault embodies the antagonist to perfection and makes you cringe the entire film. This is a step down from the original but still a great addition to the horror genre. I would score this a 7/10.
Why didn't they just spit the rags out?!
Not the worst movie ever, but put some effort in to your work. Why wouldn't those girls just spit the rags out. Anyway, that pretty much sums up this one. Everything happens for NO reason.
