Loved it .. one of the best films I've ever seen. Hartnett was powerful. A true story of a man that made bad choices, which even led him to take the wrong path on a snowboard. It shows the will to live is so powerful and if one can survive this , one can overcome any bad path they took in life. Enjoy James Welch Henderson Arkansas 4/29/21.

A little far fetched at times but so good.
I Should Have Liked It But I Didn't
I generally enjoy these kinds of films but 6 Below failed miserably.
It had all the necessary elements excluding a lead character that I couldn't have cared less about.
It was bland and spent too much time living in the past.
This one was not for me.
Quite slow and lacking of real emotion
Having heard nothing much of this film, but knowing it was based upon a real story, and having no knowledge of the real events. Judging purely based upon the film, it doesn't really have much working well for it. The character played by Josh Harnett is relatively delusional and quite unlikable and hard headed.
There have been many survival dramas, and in those films what makes them work, are likable leads in which we can easily root for. However, in this film, there is little interest as we barely get to know the character of Eric LaMarque.
As a film, it is honestly quite boring. We first see Eric and his flashbacks as a former hockey player as a youth, than later on to present day, he decides to head to the mountain top. There wasn't exactly a reason given as to why he decided to go, also we clearly see he was limping and injured.
Most of the film takes place where Eric is at the top of the mountain trying to survive, looking for food and someone to help him escape. What makes little sense is his reason for going up top of the mountain in the first place and as to why he couldn't have went back down.
The film does get slightly better around when we see his mother arrive at the cabin where Eric was. The rescue mission was okay but even then wasn't as compelling. And of course in the end, we get a happy ending.
