"In the US, the extreme right commits more attacks than Islamic terrorists, between 2016/2018, ultranationalist crimes were twice as many as jihadists." Emotional, incredulous and sad reports from the reports immediately following the attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon... Four planes. Nearly three thousand victims. An unimaginable tragedy. The terrible events of September 11, 2001 will never be forgotten... Whether out of love for the country, or for libertarian ideals, or religious precepts, revenge/justice?!?! As the lyrics of Titãs said "No idea is worth a life" or is it? It's worth destroying several lives...

Plot summary
Across America, the morning of September 11, 2001 began routinely, with news and radio broadcasts sharing local human interest stories and traffic reports. But by 9 a.m., the day's narrative had taken a tragic turn. Most of us are familiar with the national news coverage of 9/11, but the local reporting from TV and radio affiliates across the nation was no less important and no less compelling. This is an account of the tragedy as it unfolded, and as it aired in American cities large and small, told without narration or interviews.

Sad, very sad...
I remember. This is how it felt.
I was 14 years old when the Towers fell and I can remember sitting in my 4th period History class and watching the footage of the buildings falling, over and over. It's all the News would show. You only had to see that once for it to be permanently etched into your brain. I'm from the Midwest and wasn't familiar with The World Trade Center before that. The News Reports in this compilation are very true to the feelings of confusion, grief, disbelief and outrage that everyone I came in contact with that day were experiencing. The lack of a narrator was an inspired decision. We're instead left with our own thoughts as we watch footage from all over the nation. 8/10 for some heavy-handed soundtrack choice at times. Let the audience feel what they're going to feel. Don't try to force it.
Smithsonian
I am watching this on the smithsonian channel, and eight minutes in, and it goes to the adverts... for cremations. I am not giving this a one star for the program, I am giving it a one star for the idiot who decided to air adverts for cremations during a program about such a cowardly attack on america.
