Plot summary
A group of young people go camping when a strange old man joins them at their camp fire and tells them a story of Maria, a young Mexican girl who lived back when Arizona was just a territory. He tells them her sad and devastating story and warns them to leave or they would be her next victim. They laugh it off but while sleeping they hear a blood curdling scream and now they are about to find out just what happens when you hear her Cry In The Night.

Cheestastic!
A group of friends go to camp. A old man approaches and tells them the story of La Llorona, then she comes and kills them.
A Cry In The Night deserves some credit for the 'flashback' scenes, which consist of most of the middle of the film. They shot in a restored old west town with plenty of people dressed in old garb.
The kills have a bit of blood, and there are a few decent kills, in particular a girl sleeping in a tent that fills with water and La Llorona drowns her.
Of course, no one here can really act. Lines are flubbed in almost every scene and kept in. The plot is as predictable as they come.
If you're looking for an actual scary film, look elsewhere, but if you want something to have a beer and some laughs at, A Cry In The Night is one of the better films of this type on Tubi.

While not the best low budget horror movie, it wasn't horrible either.
It was a interesting interpretation and reimagining of the legend which typically focuses on children.
Production quality was pretty low, especially the long story telling piece (which made up a third or more of the movie). And some of the acting was
