Or else she owed someone a favor. There's no other reason for an actress of her talents and stature to be in this.
There's not really much here. The acting is overly dramatic, as is the score in places. A sign of the film's quality can be seen early on: When Melissa Fumero's character is taking refuge in the house during a nighttime rainstorm, she casts a shadow that's clearly produced through a window on a sunny day.
The story is okay, but the entire arc relating to the boyfriend is wholly unnecessary. As teased in the summary, this movie's a variation on the "Misery" theme. It might be worthwhile to watch that one again and do a "compare and contrast" with this one. This movie doesn't fare well in comparison.

Bonnie Bedelia must've invested her money poorly
Okay listen. It's not bad. It's just not good.
The acting is too dramatic and the whole stone on the water and wise men can get it or something was such a weirdly placed line of dialogue. The editing is weird. The beginning. She's killing her husband and then it cut to another woman closing the door where the husband was murdered. Then the CGI rain and car was so weird. Why not just film it? Why? Did the director really sit there with the editor and producers patting each other on the back saying "well done." Idk. I'd avoid this movie. It was made by people who believe they made a grassy film and the lack of self awareness is cringe. Stay away from this.
Whoa!! What a roller coaster ride.
So many delicious twist and turns in Daniel M. Cohen's mystery-thriller. Grab your couch snacks and take a break from COVID quarantine boredom with this super entertaining film. So great to see one of my old favorites, Bonnie Bedelia (remember her terrific performance in Presumed Innocent). Bedelia does creepy so, so well. Liked the performances of Melissa Fumero, David Fumero, Kimberly Leemans and Mary Kilpatrick very much, too. For a roller coaster of a story with a good mix of weird, whoa and wow, check out A Stone in the Water.
