Jack and Kyle were best buddies when Jack stole Renee right from under his bro. But it turns out that Renee has her hands full with Jack, who has not been forthcoming with her about his past. In fact, Jack' s real name is Stephen Boyden, a former drug addict.
"A Wife's Suspicion" (a.k.a., "Evidence of Truth") successfully blends the romantic intrigue with a murder mystery. Renee is an expert forensics analyst, and her boss is none other than Kyle, her ex beau. Kyle's wife Holly was murdered, and Renee believes that a serial killer is on the loose.
In her investigation, the early evidence leads Renee right back to her husband Jack. But the smooth-talking charmer Jack convinces Renee that when he was kissing and hugging Bess, it was only because he was her "sponsor" at the Narcotics No More support center. And there is not enough forensic evidence to tie Jack to the murder of Holly, Jennifer Griegson, or Jade.
The small object of the climbing carabiner figures in the mystery. In the Griegson case, a carabiner had turned up in which the killer had scaled a wall of an apartment building like a mountain climber. If Renee can trace back the carabiner to the owner, she may learn who is the killer.
The film included a good batch of characters and a set of relationships that circled around each other. It was never credible that Renee would leave a devoted family man like Kyle for a playboy-adventurer like Jack. But there was still good suspense and a nice symmetry to the film's action. The film opens and closes at the Devil's Punch Bowl, which is southwest of Portland, Oregon. It is there that the day of reckoning will occur to either validate or reject a wife's suspicion.

Plot summary
Renee and Jack Murphy, a forensic investigator for the Portland Police Department and a computer systems designer respectively, have been married for six months. Prior to Jack, Renee had seriously dated Detective Kyle Ferguson, with who she still works at the PPD. Kyle admits that he still has feelings for Renee, but respects what she needed to do for her own life in breaking up with him and marrying Jack. Kyle and Jack were also best friends, that friendship which has been strained by Jack and Renee's marriage. Kyle himself is a widower, his wife Holly, who was also an officer at the PPD, having been murdered, with her killer never caught. In the City's latest homicide, that of a young woman, Renee notices some evidence that is remarkably similar to a cold case, the specific case she cannot remember. If there is indeed a connection, that would mean that there is a serial murderer loose in the City. Renee and her forensic colleague Tim Watson uncover more and more forensic evidence, and in combination with what look to be lies and inconsistencies in his life points to Jack perhaps being the killer. Renee has to decide how far to go with the investigation against her husband, who, conversely could be being set up by the real killer if he is indeed innocent.

"Sociopaths Relate to Obsession"
Monotonous
Despite twists and turns and red herrings, this is a boring movie. Everyone speaks in a monotone. Unbelievable and implausible.
Skip it.

A female forensic expert marries her boyfriend's good friend and certainly comes to regret it by film's end.
She discovers that the guy is a recovering drug addict and sees him with another woman. Turns out she is wrong on that score as the lady is his sponsor in a drug rehabilitation group.
The original boyfriend's wife was murdered and soon we have another murder similar to that one.
The film becomes confusing in that you begin to wonder who is helping the others. Naturally, her meek assistant becomes a suspect and the nicest part of the film is the mountainous scenery where a lot of the fatal action takes place.
