Not quite what you might perceive, as this story doth deceive, not a demon vigilante but a trickster who's men anti.

Crawling along at a snail's pace, voids not even the greatest leaps of faith could overcome, but there is an audience for this kind of batty nonsense I'm sure, though they probably have an axe to grind.

Tomas (Alec Secareanu ) is a former Eastern European border guard whose past we see in flashbacks. Circumstances leave him as a refugee living in the home of Magda (Carla Juri ) caring for her ailing mother locked in the attic. The whole arrangement was set up by Dolores Umbridge in a nun's habit.

There is an amulet in the film, typical agricultural goddess stuff. Mom makes a lot of weird noises as things are not what they seem.

I was bored for almost the entire film. I had to smile at the ending. The characters were too bland.

The intentions behind this and the overall story of it (good and evil and all that jazz),is a fine one. It may persuade a few people on how to receive this or make them like it better. It depends in what mood you are watching this. Imelda Staunton is in this for crying out loud. And she is quite a heavyweight, but she also is a stark contrast to the other players. I seems they are uncomfortable with their roles and their dialog.

It is not just the actors performing in that case, it is that some things feel cheap. So while the slow pace will annoy some anyway, some fake emotions will drive others away. But the fantastical part of it is interesting to say the least. And there are some interesting visuals. So just for trying and having an interesting story, some decent analogies (though sometimes too on the nose) and a difficult timeline (or is it?),I would say this is a good enough or at least not bad enough movie to rate it with a 5. Again not for everyone, but some will love the movie for being so different, no matter what
