Wanted to like this given the promising premise but its clearly written/directed by folks stuck in the 80's sitcom era. Sorry not acceptable. Mindi has raised the bar and there's no going back.

Maybe the cast can find a better vehicle to display their talents.

Ashley is cute and has a good on-screen personality. Beyond that I know nothing about the actress or background because Saturday morning television isn't my thing. If this isn't Saturday morning TV (I saw it as a "Netflix Special")... that description still sets the mood for the scripts, directing, plot and acting.

I'm not sure what demographic this appeals to, because well, I've never been a teenage girl. So perhaps I'm not the best judge of this. Suffice to say I watched the first episode, it was somewhat cute, not awful, but not good enough to make me want to watch the second episode. End of series for me.

Some people may enjoy this. I'm guessing most of the viewing audience won't. But then again, perhaps unlike me most people won't add it to their watch list in the first place. It's nice to see a Netflix series that's somewhat wholesome, isn't gory, and doesn't drop an F-bomb every other sentence. Beyond that, it just wasn't my kind of series. All I can rate it (personally) is a mediocre 5-stars. Others might find it more enjoyable.
