BEAST is a typical indie horror from Austria: short on effects and story, long on attempted atmosphere and scene-setting. The familiar storyline involves a young couple who head off to the usual cabin in the woods for some quality time together, only to discover something very nasty lurking in the primordial forest. This is lengthy, drawn-out film-making, with poor dialogue and long stretches where nothing happens. The ending can only be described as anticlimactic.

I enjoyed it!
Well done! For a low-budget, indie horror film, it is surprisingly entertaining. Just relax and enjoy it for what it is. If you are like me, you'll find it fun and even frightening at times. Worth a look.

Very well done low budget
This was a super low budget creature flick. It was probably one of the best low budget films I've seen. The acting was pretty good and they focused on making what you see of the creature effective. You can tell it's low budget, but it very well done.
