I sat down to watch the 2018 Thai comedy "Bikeman" here in 2021, as I had the opportunity to watch it. Sure, I hadn't even heard about the movie prior to 2021, so I didn't know what I was in for here. But it being a Thai comedy was essentially all that was needed to make me sit down and watch it.
And while "Bikman" was watchable, it was ultimately a rather generic comedy with a slight romantic twist. Director Prueksa Amaruji just didn't really bring anything new to the romantic comedy genre, so it felt like the things that transpired on the screen here was something that had been done many times before in other similar movies.
The actors and actresses in the movie were doing good enough jobs with their given characters and roles, some more memorable than others of course.
For a comedy then there was pretty far in between the jokes and funny situations. At best then director Prueksa Amaruji managed to make me smile once in a while, but there wasn't any laugh out loud laughs to be had throughout the course of "Bikeman".
"Bikeman" is the type of movie that you watch once and then never return to watch it a second time.
My rating of "Bikeman" lands on a very mediocre five out of ten stars.
