I must say that I saw this 2016 movie's cover and that definitely caught my attention. And the movie's synopsis founded fairly interesting enough, so of course I found the time to sit down to watch "Blood Hunters" (aka "One Drop") from writer Corey Brown and director Tricia Lee.
But this wasn't an overly impressive horror movie, not even by a longshot. Perhaps I am just too seasoned in terms of horror movies, but I found "Blood Hunters" to be rather mundane, slow paced and somewhat bland.
It was a combination of a storyline that was rather devoid of interesting events and an equally pointless character gallery that ultimately sank the movie for me. I mean, I didn't really buy into the storyline and found it difficult to actually take it seriously. And little did it help that the characters were about as interesting as faceless mannequins with no personalities or character traits.
The acting in the movie was fair enough, especially when taking into consideration that the actors and actresses virtually had nothing to work with here. It was nice, though, to see Julian Richings in the movie.
Sure, if you are a newcomer to the horror genre, then I suppose that there will be some enjoyment and entertainment to be found in the 2016 movie "Blood Hunters". But if you have seen a fair share of horror movies, then you might just want to skip on this particular movie.
The creature effects in the movie were rather lame. It was painstakingly obvious that it was just guys running around in pretty badly made rubber suits. Sure, the concept of the creatures were interesting enough, but the props just killed it - and not in a good way. The creatures were such a disappointment, especially after having seen that interesting-looking one of the movie's cover.
"Blood Hunters" is not a movie that I would recommend that you waste your time, money or effort on. My rating of director Tricia Lee's 2016 movie lands on a generous three out of ten stars.

Worst. Film. Ever
This movie made no sense. None. zero. zip. People with no reason to be around are around; monsters that supposedly hunt for blood yet let pools of blood lie around un-lapped in a hospital. Oh, did I say hospital? I mean animal-testing center.
At one point a woman in the building said it was an underground facility. Yet, there's the sun, shining bright in all its glory in an open doorway.
As of course, everyone is trying their best to get out of this crazed facility, but when the priest (?) opens up the outside gate no one leaves. As a matter of fact, a man and woman do, then change their mind and GO BACK IN to face more carnage.
Why a priest is needed in an animal research facility is beyond me. Maybe they think their monsters need salvation. Hell, they even built a chapel for the priest.
The woman who is so clever than she can wirelessly turn on the facility's lights from the chapel is unable to unlock the exit doors?
And then there are the monsters themselves - nothing but ridiculous white rubber costumes with people in them simply walking around on all fours. Blood Hunters is an INSULT to movie making. Why did I sit through the full 90 minutes? My friend cooked me a good dinner and I was starving; the least I could do is show my appreciation by sitting through this ridiculous flick. What a waste of time.

Just terrible. Once you see a 6'5" 260 lbs man let a 5'9" 100lbs wet man cut a wire, you'll realize it's too late and your more than 1 hour in. (Ask me) Script? Horrible. Plot? Horrible. Monster costume? Horrible (just like the aliens from the TV show Land of the Lost) Acting? Horrible, the only one who did a great job was Henry. The mother sound like she was having a orgasm just by breathing instead of sounding scared.
