I am usually not a fan anything with the name zombies in the film. But I respect, and appreciate that someone finally made something like this for children without all the horrible things that usually are in these films to teach our children. I understand that from the ratings I see, many love it or hate it. I am sure the people that rate this low, are upset that this was not a film full of blood, foul language, nudity or the usual horrible things in these type of films. I think we should all rate it for what it is, a fun film a parent can watch with a teen or child without having to worry about what they see or hear. I was tired of watching the same old titles. The fact that they did this for us during the pandemic and a lockdown out of pocket to give us a smile is wonderful. I feel sad for the individuals that are trolling this family film comparing it to a 4 million dollar Hollywood movie. What a shame on this folks.

Great film for the youth and family
Surprising little family film
Cute family Christmas film. Dad is reading the kids a story, and I Loved the perception dad had of mom being a super hero type character. Not the big budget type, but considering the pandemic I am so glad that they had anything new to give us. I am a fan of the Wright family ever since Bigfoot. I looked into them after watching "The Badge, the Bible and Bigfoot" because I collect Bigfoot movies. I was able to contact David directly on their website requesting an autographed copy if I purchased a dvd, and they sent me a signed one right away. Good people that do this to pass along a Christian message in entertainment. I know every film they do is from their own pocket. So I take that into consideration, and don't compare them to Hollywood productions. This was a great upgrade for them, and I liked it. Good job.
This is what happens during a lockdown
My quick rating - 1,8/10. Ok, I am going to start with the good. This is obviously a pretty happy family. I have to assume out of sheer lockdown boredom, this family downloaded all the video editing software, zoom filters, backgrounds and what not they could get their hands on and set out to create a Christian holiday picture for Christmas. But this is far better suited to be put up on their youtube page and shared with their neighbors. I am almost positive one said neighbor is in it, since the guy threatens some random for looking at his wife (whom he marries in the movie, how cute). The kids are cute, but even at times you can see the "seriously, i have to do this" look in their faces. The plot is non existent, wronged elf wants to take over xmas and get rid of Santa. So he creates some "zombies" which is a kid dressed up and acting like a robot. Not zombie nor robot, just stupid looking, to take all the toys. Ok, the bad. They think this looks good. It doesn't. The effects are absolute trash. The sound effects of shooting guns is off so bad. Heck, it is the USA, you would think a drawn out scene (in a 66 minute movie) would actually use real guns. Doesn't mean you have to shoot them, but the shotgun they use at the range? You can clearly hear the plastic when they handle the thing. And Ashley Wright (she is the brains of this whole thing) apparently recoils from gunfire sometimes before the shot, other times well after. Each scene is just the people (actors is an insult to acting) doing their scene in front of a filtered in background. Not sure green screen is the right term when you still can see that tell tale black border around the people ala the first Superman movie. The climactic ending turns into them tossing ALL the footage they had together and edited completely out of order. Might matter more if their was a story. I haven't looked but if it is on youtube, don't torture yourself. Oh, I almost forgot the rap scene. The pain of that scene is excruciating and you just know they thought they were funny. Pretentious is the best word for this whole thing. If you ever thought you could do better, trust me, you can do better than this.
