This is a story of how dysfunctional relationships lead to more dysfunctional relationships. This man's lousy father caused his sister to hate him. And this man's estrangement from his father contributed to his alcoholism, which led to him leaving his wife and daughter. In her bitterness, the ex-wife blocked all his letters, making their daughter believe he had totally abandoned them. So, the daughter grew up to be psychologically impaired for her own relationship with her fiance.

It just goes to show what a vicious cycle that resentment can breed. It all started with this man's father, and the ripple effects were still making people miserable years later.

Forgiveness is such an important virtue for people to embrace. Furthermore, people must not let selfishness cause them to hurt others in the first place.

It's a good movie. I have absolutely no idea why the rating is so low. Its quite an emotional film, and it's supported by some great acting by all characters. Tatiana actually surprised me. I'm not building it up to be a top tier movie, but it's a nice watch. I definitely recommend giving this a watch.

This was a wonderful movie filled with love and redemption! I loved the entire movie and how it was truly based on what real people go through. It's family friendly and can teach a great lesson for all families. Family is everything and should be cared and loved for as such. I know you will love it to. James Welch Henderson, Arkansas 1/8/2021
