Australian Outback legend Mick "Crocodile" Dundee (Paul Hogan) is running a safari tour in Walkabout Creek. He and Sue Charleton (Linda Kozlowski) have a young son, Mikey. Her father offers her a high profile job in the L. A. office of his newspaper. She moves the family there.
I would like him turning his fame in a tourist attraction. It would be more meta if this franchise makes the previous movies a reality in this world and have him be a B-movie attraction in the middle of nowhere. There is something much more compelling and funny in that idea. Going to L. A. is another bite of the fish-out-of-water apple but that apple has already been ate. His character should be smarter than this. I'd rather see him pull his tourist trap ideas on the unsuspecting tourists. This is basically a nothing movie. It's a lesser sequel. Nobody asked for it. There is no interesting new idea here. It doesn't exceed the original. Well, I guess they added a kid.

Plot summary
From the opening shot of a Jurassic Park-esque reptilian eye, you know you are in for a wild ride. As Mick "Crocodile" Dundee sits in a canoe sharpening his famous knife, a monstrous croc hides somewhere in the deep. The croc suddenly attacks, tearing Mick's boat to pieces and leaving him and mate Jacko up a tree. Life for Mick can only get easier, right? When Mick arrives at home, he discovers longtime companion Sue's newspaper-mogul father has called, and needs her help on an article at the paper's Los Angeles branch. Mick, who recognizes his importance in the modernizing bush is now no more than as a tourist attraction, agrees to join her, and together Mick, Sue and son Mikey head for Los Angeles. Here the adventure truly begins, as Mick and Jacko brave a cowboy bar where the horsemen are of a different color, and a Hollywood film party where everyone seems interested in Mick's mate Malcolm "Mal" Gibson's colorful exploits. Sue's article soon leads to a sleazy film producer, so Mick gets a job as a monkey wrangler at his studio, where his investigation uncovers some very sketchy goings-on.

Paul Hogan is likable, sadly that is pretty much it
Okay, it was marginally better than I expected, but compared to the first two, which were flawed and entertaining this isn't really worth bothering with. The scenery and photography are good and Paul Hogan, while getting on a bit, is still very likable. But the thing, the film isn't really entertaining, with the comedy missing more than it hits(someone say "No worries mate" no longer counts as comedy, please),the plot is very slight, the pacing is uneven with one too many parts dragging and the direction is much too slow and soporific. Also what made the first two so charming and entertaining, the innocent abroad act, outback wisdom and the crocodile-hunting bravado, doesn't work as well here. Overall, it had its moments but it is really a sequel too far and not particularly worth watching except for Hogan. 3/10 Bethany Cox
LA crock's
Paul Hogan is a popular Australian comedian whose shows were popular even on British television in the early 1980s. His foray into films hit Bullseye on his first attempt with Crocodile Dundee.
This third instalment was a greatest hits package and looks like a tired retread. Hogan looks he has been smoothed out and the delicious Linda Kozlowski seemed to have piled on a few pounds hence why she seems to be dressed in black all the time.
Mick Dundee heads to LA as his wife takes on an assignment to investigate a shady film production company in a plot that involves smuggling of supposedly destroyed paintings.
Dundee decides to help out by being an extra on the film and later an American wrangler. At the same time Dundee now accompanied by his son and later on in the film by another Crocodile Hunter makes a few observations about LA life and there are cameos from Mike Tyson and George Hamilton.
The film is a nice way to pass the time, its family friendly fun which can be enjoyed with the kids who have not watched the original.
The film lacks the freshness of the original and the gags have been seen and heard before and it was funnier the first time around.
