Don't even bother watching it. If you want a zombie movie, go watch the 2008 version of dawn of the dead. This movie sucks and is very boring. It's a drama, not horror.

A lot of things worked here. The main character doesn't talk much and it lends well to slowly learning a little about him. The zombies themselves are a sub plot & not over the top. I think that also lets characters breath as you get to know Alex, Ben, & Simon. While the villains are not in it a long time they certainly make an impact. Overall this movie is a fun indie zombie movie that I think has heart sprinkled throughout. With its beautiful shots and interesting characters I think "Dead County" holds up in a nice horror night viewing.

DEAD COUNTY (2021) **1/2 Well-produced low-budget indie zombie horror thriller by novice filmmakers Christian Fescine and Everett Lauster employs all the usual tropes of the sub-genre but prove a labor of love with some inventive camerawork (note the drone coverage well shot and conceived) outweighs its short-comings (i.e. Graphic violence and carnage). For a first film it has potential for a promising start to their careers. Worth a viewing alone.
