A foreign exchange student from Scotland - at least they used a real Scottish actress, feels scared and moves in with a helpful girl and she turns out to have a resemblance to her dead sister. For spring break they return to the small town where the helpful girl comes from and there's some creepiness going on including over protective parents. A Stepford like conspiracy is in the air.
It's better than the usual standard stalker fare. Teri Polo and Dylan Walsh play the parents so the cast is better than average for TV movie thriller.
Worth a watch.

Get Out as a TV movie meets another film I saw before that I can't recall
Deadly Switch is a Maravista thriller starring Heather Mcloughlin,Teri Polo and Dylan Walsh. A Scottish woman who moved to the states befriends a mysterious girl named Monica who witnessed Ana(Mcloughlin)being stalked by a black hooded person. Who is stalking Ana and should Monica be trusted.
Overall it was a decent flick. The whole plot was on Ana looking like Camila (who's Monica's sister that died in a car crash....or did she)and Monica forcing Ana to become Camila. If you enjoyed Single White Female or Get Out then check out.
Not to bad for a television movie
Sure the movie is cheesy and corny and at most times ridiculous with a twist ending but its watchability is very dependent on the Scottish lead actress and her likeability. Her character Ana is such a sweetheart. She looks a little bit like Tori Spelling with a hint of Winona Ryder. One strange note though is that throughout the movie she is reminded of how she looks like the deceased sister of her new best friend. She does not. Nothing in the slightest likeness other than the red hair. Another part of the movie that carries it through is the strangeness of the characters Ana meets and the setting is beautiful. Due to the fact it is a television movie requires some of the acting to be suspect. Overprotective dad, the robot stepford mother. The corny cop who appears to be the only cop in town. The young guy (Kevin) who appears at will. The Cranky neighbour. There is a lot of cackling, chess playing. All in all its not bad. Its watchable. One note parts of Scotland are beautiful with its scenary etc but the major cities are some of the most dangerous parts of the U. K. and have major probelms with drugs and violence. Its not the paradise as hinted in the movie. Anyway watchable down to the lead actress. She was the best part of the movie.
