This is not one of better lifetime movies, but typical one. I expected granny will be somewhat more extreme or more funny, but not the worst actor either. Gives us insight into how dangerous women, especially older ones can be. Reminds me of personal experiences with older women, especially in family and closer relationships, how can they do black magic, poison somebody, or damage somebody in other way due to more knowledge and experience. Actors are still amateur ones, but not the worst.

Barbara finds her last hope to be a grandmother when her son Ethan falls for Kendall, a divorcee with children. At first kept at arm's length, Barbara quickly infiltrates the family by using devious tactics to win over Kendall's kids. Unannounced visits escalate to murder as Barbara will do anything to protect her relationship with her grandchildren. With her life in danger, Kendall must outsmart her mother-in-law to save her children and expose Barbara for who she really is.

This movie was fine but it was just way too predictable. Like, absolutely no surprises involved. Kinda boring.

Grandma Dearest is one of those Lifetime popcorn movies where you just settle back, relax and enjoy. The acting isn't too bad and the story, while not over challenging, is interesting enough to keep you watching. The movie was well shot and the child actors were not annoying and some can be, especially in films like this.
Not a classic, but just a bit of light thriller entertainment.
