With a tragic death of Cameron Boyce even if there was a demand for a fourth Descendants movie, there will not be one. A pity because this film ends the series on a high note.
With Dove Cameron marrying young King Mitchell Hope of Oredon that's aroused jealousy in Sarah Jeffrey the daughter of Sleeping Beauty. There's also controversy about letting more kids from villains to mingle with the good people.
Jeffrey has gone over to the dark side and has cast a spell over Oredon. It will take Dove Cameron and her old and new friends to set things right.
There's a great lesson here about barriers we erect with the thought of containing evil as we define it. Something some politicians should learn.
Nice ending to the Descendants saga.

Living the Dream
My Walmart DVD started by itself like a bootleg.
Only Disney could create a family movie with "bad girls" in tight leather pants with a zipper in the back promoting Frederick's of Hollywood. Mal (Dove Cameron) and her fellow dreamers travel south of the border to find four more line dancers to come live in the promised land. Parents willingly let their kids go you they can live a better life. However, one of the criminals attempts to break the barrier. Mal, who will become the next Queen believes they need to build a wall to keep them out. Audrey (Sarah Jeffery) was not too happy to hear about her ex, getting married to Mal, and changes her hair and wardrobe. . . thank you again, Fredericks. With a wicked wand, she raises havoc that only kids from south of the border can solve while picking grapes (symbolic Latino give away). And BTW Dude the Dog is a girl dog.
I loved the first installment. They have maintained the characters, style, and choreography. The film has lost the fresh appeal and there are only so many times you can go to the well. This isn't Star Wars. Still, it was entertaining. I'll watch the next one as long as they still have those Dove-tailed pants.
Demographics: Teen
Definitely made for the teen market (or those still stuck there). Simplistic bad vs. good fantasy. Lots & lots of simple catchy song lyrics & basic hip-hop dance steps. Excessive make-up - didn't see a single blemish on anyone; as perfect a skin as can be. Keeping with the "keep it simple stupid" theme the clothing too, synthetically perfect (no dirt, wrinkles) & colorful for the good people; drab wrinkled torn for the others. Hair color matched clothing in both cases. CGI was decades old cheap as were the ubiquitous colored eyes as our main special effect. A made to really make money movie.
