I'm totally disgusted with this movie, the story, screenplay, action, direction, music and what not. SRK and Kajol look very STALE, fail to act and emote, should retire and make room for freshers who can. I can't understand how people flock to theaters just to watch their favorite actors.
Story is so stupid and makes us chuckle at times. The Ram Lal Dhobi twist is so disgusting and annoying. SUDDEN down pour of HEAVY, artificial rain in one scene makes us chuckle saying, "Holy crap" to ourselves. Flashbacks are done by a seemingly inexperienced director.
Music is dumb and loud. We forget it the moment we walk out of the theater.
There is no chemistry or character-building and when actors weep, it does not have any effect on us and it is even ANNOYING.
Its a shame our standards have fallen to this low level. Avoid this one at all costs. Go watch Star Wars instead and you will be glad you skipped it.

Doesn't Have The Heart One Expects From It!
Rohit Shetty's highly awaited 'Dilwale' has finally hit the screens. Sadly, I wasn't impressed by the film. Reason? Well, despite such big names associated to this biggie, The Writing & The Execution plays a spoilsport. The wholesome entertainment value, is missing here!
'Dilwale' Synopsis: Two former lovers (SRK & Kajol) with a volatile past, reunite years later, due to their siblings (Varun Dhawan & Kirti Sanon),who fall for each other.
'Dilwale' has a mostly weak first-hour, where the humour & the characters, both, don't engage you. The only element in this hour that works to an extend, is the flashback. The portions in the flashback fair better, than what is served in present. The twist at the interval point is predictable & the second-hour also scores low on energy. Also, among the two love-stories, the one with the legendary on-screen pair, is comparatively better, as the other love-story in line, offers nothing.
Rohit Shetty knows how to entertain audiences, but sadly, 'Dilwale' is his weakest effort to date. The Entertainment Factor is missing here. All you take home is a few moments & some comical punches. Yunus Sajawal's Screenplay needed a bigger heart. There are too many loopholes in the narrative, although a few sequences are decently done. But, A stronger Screenplay was the need here! Cinematography, Editing & The Action-sequences are strictly okay. Pritam's Score is good.
Performance-Wise: The legendary pairing of SRK & Kajol is the reason why 'Dilwale' has gotten so much attention. But its Kajol who delivers a credible performance, adding some weight to her weakly written character. SRK isn't in form this time, he looks jaded here. Varun Dhawan hams. Its surprisingly to see the otherwise talented actor summit to such buffoonery. Kirti Sanon looks pretty, but gets nothing to do. Of the supporting cast, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari & Pankaj Tripathi lend great comedic energy & deliver some of the most rubbish lines, with ease. Boman Irani, Vinod Khanna & Kabir Bedi are wasted.
On the whole, 'Dilwale' doesn't work, despite a few merits.
