Unconventional, aggressive and heartwarming

Quirky, offbeat comedy centered around two intensely unconventional characters. Much of the film is spent passive aggressively or all-out aggressively railing against banality and status quo in the American suburbs but there is also a sweet, heartwarming core and a lot of charm. It did feel a little long in the 2nd half without quite as much momentum as the 1st but overall this was a really enjoyable and unusual film.

Punkrock Rollercoaster!

This movie is about all those outcasts who are treated as trash, it's about all those low paid, humilated low wage workers, all those without higher school education, it is about all those who have NO FUTURE and who are treated like trash by society. And now they stand up and revolt. What a fun rollercoaster ride it is to watch!

BEWARE: Not for the faint of hearted, because this is a "punkrock" movie, which hit me full on, with racist, sexist and other obnoxious jokes that just keep on coming. Vomiting, cat feces, sex with strangers and burning a house down are some of the bizarre incidents that fly by in only the first 5 minutes of this movie!

BUT, this is NOT a shock movie though, this is an honest and pure portrait of 2 outcasts finding each other in the most amazing twists of coincidence.

The good: this movie definitely has got a punkrock vibe. F8*k YES. Brillaint direction and editing and photography. I will start following this writer / director from now on. The energy of this movie just wont stop. It is one contineous *rgas*ic rebel fest! And it is funny. And it is endearing. Produced by Ben Stiller of all people.

The story: a drug dealing punkrock musician is on the run for the cops, while running he meets a timid nerdy girl who hides him for the cops and all kind of beautiful and nasty things will happen...

Eating disorder

Actually it's not so much about eating ... but everything around it, be it family, guilt, growing up, expectations, bullying and other things that "outsiders" have to endure, while others still dream or at least pretend they are in a fantasy land, where everything is A-ok.

It's not and while most things are in your face and very obvious, you do get some other more subtle hints at what this aims at. And all that from the director of Bunny Game. Now if you don't know that movie ... well lucky you! But it goes to show you that one bad movie, does not mean that the creator/filmmaker can't do better or become better. This is prove of that! You can't be squeamish though and talk about Anti Heroes! Which while the lead male character is in the middle of it all, the female lead is stealing the show (no pun intended)! She is so adorable while also being badass ... gentle, yet not to mess with! Now I'm fairly certain quite a few men (and women) will fall in love with her ... and rightly so. Her character that is, but you catch the drift. Fantastic acting, with some interesting turn ups.
