Plot summary
A story set in the 90s and in the outskirts of Rome to Ostia, the same places of the films of Pasolini. His characters, in the '90s, seem to belong to a world that revolves around hedonism. A world where money, luxury cars, night clubs, cocaine and synthetic drugs are easy to run. A world in which Vittorio and Cesare, in their early twenty, act in search of their success. Initiation for their existence has a very high cost and Vittorio, to save himself, abandons Cesare, who instead will inexorably sink. The bond that unites them is so strong that Vittorio really never shall abandon his friend, always hoping to be able to look to the future with new eyes. Together.

Ruthlessly human
Basically, I watched the movie out of curiosity about the performance of Luca Marinelli, who is becoming one of the most admired actors of Italy. It turned out to be a really captivating story, thanks to the impressive, merciless realism of every single aspect of the setting. As a matter of fact the movie shows a perfect representation of the outskirts' most tragic aspects and human weakness in general. This, as well as the charachters' convincing portrayals, makes the movie exceptionally involving and touching. Definitely inappropriate if you're looking for some light-hearted entertainment, but absolutely recommended.
As harsh as beautiful
This is a majestically crafted movie who tells a really difficult story in the best way possible. Is the kind of movie that prints their mark over the viewer, impossible to walk out from the cinema without feeling a bit different. The story is pretty intense, show a part of italy often forgotten and try to answer to the question "how can they live this way?"
