Great Cinematography and Unexpected Storyline

You see the title and immediately most will think of a boxed concept too much on the nose. However, the writer does a great job with creating a world of realness when it comes to human nature with some memorable one liners! Lol. All in all, good stuff and good quality. If I had any complaints or non-favorable moments it will probably be an imbalance of some of the actors. The lead actors did a great job, but some a couple of the smaller role characters could have been stronger.

This movie dares to ask the hard question.

Fear of a Black Planet opens the door to a conversation that needs to be had. This question has been hidden in the back of our minds and the movie creates an interesting opportunity for real dialogue to occur. What are some people afraid of?

The Irony of the Name of the movie and the ratings.

When I see the ratings and then a review that includes language like " Why are all American productions these days obsessed with pushing the message that all black people are victims and all white people are evil, vile and racist?" I can't help but wonder how ignorant one has to be to be offended by the fact that their privilege is being called out on screen.

How completely devoid of empathy for others that didn't win the genetic lottery and get born into a wealthy white family, and dump on those marginalized groups in public, as if they will never have to face the consequences of their racism because they delusionally think any activity on the internet is anonymous.

I am beyond disgusted by the fact I have to take racism into account when looking at IMDB scores for any movie that addresses racism.

I am a 52yr old caucasian Canadian and the rest of you whites make me want to vomit.
