After the first Screening I was more or less empty and didn't know what to think of it. When it's a good film, you go out an say: Wow this was amazing, when it's shit you say: What a waste,... and you forget it. It took me a few days to get an opinion on this film, but it stayed with me all the time, wich is very rare. I was trying to figure out, what it could mean to my self... Which made it special for me. Figaros Wölfe is characterized by its experimental-structured and stands out from among the other german films.
A very small but ambitious german genre film, I never saw before in this style and making. No idea how they got the money for this, but Im happy that there are people trying out risky stuff and put it on the big screen. I hope there will be more like this in the future.

Plot summary
Figaros Wölfe is an absurd trip through the souls of human existence and seeking for love, hope and desire. While at the feet of an opulent building the mannered bourgeoisie is walking up and down, an oddish girl is living on the roof of it. Her body is a treasured object of three men, whom obviously screw her day by day, till a mysterious foreigner called Gilbert changes her being immediately. Colette's freedom reaches beyond the sky, but not further till the roof-edge, isolated by the local human existence. This very rooftop is the hunting ground for Figaro and his rockabillies with harmful intentions, as well as a melting pot for all the abominations, which have no right place in the civil society.

The Roof (You're tearing me apart ... Colette)
This could actually be a spiritual brother to "The Room". Actually they should have called the movie "The Roof". I know I would have done so. Now as with the infamous movie, that James Franco made kind of legendary with his Disaster Artist, this is very badly acted. Although it is a stretch calling anything in this movie acting. The black and white is supposed to be artistic ... you know as in "class". I know utterly funny.
Unfortunately the movie itself lacks any "funny" itself. Unless you are in a certain mood (with or without substances) and just laugh at all that is "happening". Some things are not funny (like assault) and are disturbing. The dialog is "clever", as in trying to be philosophical and tell us about life. Even with a short running time of 70 minutes this still feels like torture. You have better things to do with your time ... btw. there's a certain amount of nudity in this. Neither this nor the pseudo intellectualism really are or should be a factor. Also this makes the Room look like a decent movie ...
