Let me clear some things up. If there is a killer in a film and Eric Roberts is in it, it is not a mystery who the killer could be. If there is a bad guy and Malcolm McDowell is it.... Type casting has ruined many films. The film opens with Jane Porter (Sarah Butler) practicing kick boxing with her boyfriend (Jayson Blair). He doesn't like her billionaire boss Thaddeus Gault because he is played by McDowell. Jane goes to work and discovers that VP Michael Willbourne jumped off the roof. His office was quickly cleared out and 9 minutes into the film as Gault is making a speech, I had the whole film figured out, and most of you will too.
What can I say. You know that kick boxing thing works it way back into the script and if you read the title and look at the box you know this is about our heroine being cornered in an elevator. Not many characters and the ones they had were not overly entertaining. I personally liked Stig Svendsen 2011 "Elevator" more.
Guide: No sex or nudity. No swearing that I recall.

THE PROBLEM HAS SPREAD
More like Stuck
A free fall can be fun ... for a second or two (depending on the fall). This doesn't really have that impact though (sorry for the puns, but they are laying right there for the picking ...). If the movie just had a couple of jokes like that, it might be a bit lighter. Not to mention the cliché excuse of a story.
DB Sweeney and in part Sarah Butler do hold their own weight though. But being stuck (literally and metaphorically) does not help most of the time. You also wonder, if it's that important, why not put real effort behind it? But that would have ended the movie prematurely of course. There's not really much in here that will surprise you ... it might feel a bit "nicer" to some than to others of course
A fun little thriller.
What a fun little thriller of a film this is,
I have to admitted I'm growing into a bit of a fan for Sarah Butler.
I first seen her in this film first, then The Demented,
before I seen I Spit on Your Grave, so I liked it a lot. I didn't much like The Demented, I Spit on Your Grave was alright, but had a satisfying yet eerie ending.
I don't understand why most of you out there hated this, even when I first seen this I thought was average at best, but still enjoyed it for what it is.
Sarah Butler was great in this and I think she is a good actress too, I think she's sexy as hell and I hope she has a bright future, I also hope to see her in bigger film projects as well.
Overall, I thought it was fun and exceeded may expectations.
I give it a 5.8/10. If your like me and not too cynical about low budget movies I think your going to enjoy it too.
