That's all I have to say. Repetitive scenes, repetitive lines, no soul in the story . What were they thinking?? Such a waste of time.

Plot summary
Abby is looking forward to a laid-back Thanksgiving with her best friend Molly. But the friends' plans for a quiet turkey dinner go up in smoke when they're joined by Molly's new boyfriend and her flamboyant mother. Throw in some party crashers including Molly's old flame, a wannabe shaman, and a trio of Fairy Gay Mothers, and it's a recipe for a comically chaotic holiday no one will ever forget-even if they wanted to.

Too bad a script, period!!
bad
Abby (Kat Dennings) is relieved to have a small thanksgiving with best friend Hollywood actress Molly Erickson (Malin Akerman). It's not what Abby expected as more people show up.
Everybody is trying to be wacky and it ends being rather annoying. The consent lesbian is a little funny for about two seconds. Kat Dennings has her sarcastic moments. All in all, those moments are few and fleeting. These characters get wackier and more annoying. Maybe... just maybe, Abby and Molly could build up some more friendship chemistry at the beginning which would carry on to a compelling evolution towards the end. It all boils down to filmmaker Nicol Paone. I have to question her directing skills. She really needs to do a few more rewrites before putting anything on film.
Friends and other disasters
Well that is not entirely true now is it? But it does sound fun ... also things that are included in this movie. You have good friends here and some who only think they are. You have shaming of different variations (mostly on the relationship status of women though) and all done in a way that can make you laugh.
The emphasis is on can, as the rating might already suggest some did not take lightly to this movie or its (crude and vulgar) humor. It may not even be the curse words that ruin it for you. You may just not like the type of movie this is. You may not like the characters. Clearly I did dig the movie and I did like how the actors went ahead and were silly with their roles. There still is a message (or two) hidden inside the movie. And yes the tone seems to vary at times, but the relationship of the characters is clearly defined. So you can either have fun with this (and believe it is easy to just go with the flow) or just be annoyed from the start
