Roy (Ben Foster) is a hitman who is set up. He manages to survive and absconds town with a teen escort named Rocky (Elle Fanning) who has had a very rough life. Roy has dark spots on his lungs, smokes, and coughs. Rocky is more trouble than what she is worth and comes with baggage. However, what Roy and Rocky have in common is a desire to do the right thing in spite of their past.
The characters were realistically boring. Elle Fanning did a convincing job in a film that doesn't go anywhere. And what happened to the lung cancer?
Guide: F-word. Brief sex and nudity.

Plot summary
A noirish crime thriller, Galveston centers on New Orleans hitman Roy Cady, whose mobster boss has decided to remove him from the business - and the world- because he fears Roy might try to get even with him for stealing his woman. Roy escapes the ambush set up for him and goes on the run with incriminating business records and rescued teenage hooker Raquel "Rocky" Arceneaux. He's persuaded to pick up her baby sister Tiffany, and with his new wards in tow, heads to Galveston to hide out and scheme revenge and redemption.

It's your lungs
(End) Terminal
When you don't have anything to lose, you risk it all ... I mean that makes sense now doesn't it? While we all know we will eventually die, we don't really (like to) think too much about our mortality. So maybe you don't approve of the movie being so blunt and in your face. Not to mention violent and over the top of course.
Ben Foster plays it as straight as he can and he has the innocent looking Elle Fanning at his side. Anyone who has seen her in other roles already knows there is more to her though. In this case we get something I haven't yet seen from her: annoying screaming. It's her character of course, so don't get that mixed up. Thriller is quite nice to say the least, even it isn't everyones cup of tea
I enjoyed it
It's like a British film. Low on budget, strong on characters, heavy on the violence.
I liked it a lot.
