I didn't know about this Chinese movie from 2017 from director Ryon Lee. But it being an Asian horror movie, was of course more than sufficient to spike my interest.
First of all, I have to say that for an Asian horror movie, then "Haunted Road 2" was fairly weak and rather mundane. The storyline in the movie was just too random and didn't really have all that much of a red thread to it. Which ultimately left the movie feeling like it was made up as director Ryon Lee went ahead with filming.
The acting in the movie was adequate, but the performers were restricted by a lack of proper script and storyline, that was for certain.
As for the horror aspect to "Haunted Road 2", well, let's just say that you shouldn't be getitng your hopes up for this movie. There wasn't anything particularly scary about this movie, even for the Asian audience. And for a seasoned horror veteran such as myself, this was a mere stroll in the park on a clear, blue skies day.
Even the title of movie made very little sense, especially as the majority of the movie took place inside a hotel.
I am rating "Haunted Road 2" a mere four out of ten stars. There are far better Asian horror movies readily available. I managed to stick with the movie to the end, but I wasn't really overly entertained. And this is not a movie that has enough contents to it to warrant a second viewing.

Awful garbage
If more than $500. US dollars were spent on this piece of trash I'll personally make up the difference. Back yard school projects have better plots AND acting! BTW Not a word of English is spoken or available as subs. PASS!
