It is centered around the Holidays, so it is very well in line with all the pretty good Christmas movies. It's about a couple who are in the process of divorcing, but because of something that happened during their marriage perhaps??, they might have begun to drift away from each other. One wants the divorce more than the other. Along comes someone special in their lives to help keep them together. Does it work? You'll have to watch it to see for yourself, but it does have a cool and unique take on what might have caused the distance between the two. I like this movie a lot! It doesn't have a common title centered around the holidays or Christmas, but it does take place during the holidays. I watched this on the Lifetime channel, not knowing it was in tune with the holidays, I decided to watch it anyway. Glad I did because it wasn't a waste of my time.

Plot summary
In the lead-up to Christmas, Billy and Maire Taylor are going through an emotionally-draining divorce after nine years of marriage. They have always been aware of their differences--he's artistic, she's business-minded--which he always thought made their relationship more exciting, but now she feels it taking its toll on her. She does realize that those differences are what has made their business work (a retail store called Poet's Walk selling Billy's designed greeting cards),but she now wants to sell the business in the break-up of their marriage, Sean Miller representing the company interested in buying. Things start to change when an adolescent girl calling herself Taylor invades their house, looking remarkably like the girl that Billy has just sketched. After some missteps in trying to find out who she is, Billy and Maire learn that she is an angel, one that no one else can see, escaped from heaven, and she wants to be their daughter. Although they might not be able to overcome all their marital differences, both Billy and Maire begin to focus on Taylor. In the process, they may not be fully aware that her mission is to make them fall in love with each other all over again so that they won't get divorced; she has a special interest in this task because of something in Billy and Maire's past. Sean's presence in their lives complicates her task, especially when he admits that he wants to be more to Maire. Can she reunite Billy and Maire before her heavenly handler Donatello catches up with her?

OK, this is a cute movie! Proud 7 Stars!
Wow
What was I thinking the first time I reviewed this movie.
I was distracted while watching it the first time and when the ending came, I had to go back and re-watch parts of it to appreciate what happened. So I can't really judge if the movie was predictable,. There are some subtle things that occur on screen quickly, especially in the last half, so don't do what I did. To get the full impact, pay attention with both eyes and ears.
There is a really powerful twist. Even if you figured it out and expected it, when it hits you what's going on it's like a gut punch.
I love Christian Kane, but I wanted Billy to be more tender towards Maire. But then she hardly encourages him. Even so, I enjoyed Marley Shelton, who is new to me. I assume that Mallory James Mahoney, the actress, is close to the age she appears. She does an excellent job with the part and more so if she is that young. And she is adorably cute. Taylor is truly the center of the movie and she pulls all the relationships together.
Several reviewers say the movie is formulaic. In the sense of having a small child pull at the heartstrings, I agree, but in other ways I do not. While there are some of the overused tropes like building a snowman, decorating, and the competing rival, it did not feel like a paint by numbers Christmas script. I thought there were several fresh elements to the story, like helping Daddy shave, the scene with the policeman, and the premise of taking care of the little girl causing the separated couple to live together again. There are many funny moments and many tender moments.
The movie has definite supernatural elements to it. In one of the early scenes it's clear that only Billy and Maire can see Taylor.
This Movie was Heaven Sent- Well Done
I only rate about 10% of the movies a 10 and this one gets it. We have a fantasy story with a bit of a surprise at the end. Story keeps you engaged until the end. The story allows for some great humor and emotion. Such as the divorce papers never getting signed. Loved the mirror scenes. We have 3 main characters with no real distractions. Christian Kane plays the husband Billy, Marley Shelton plays the wife Maire and and the little girl Taylor is adorable. The Billy character really made the story. It was played with some real emotion and was not boring. Maire is well done and of course the little girl was adorable. No boring parts just a good fun story. I would enjoy watching again.
