This was just a big mess. I don't understand all high reviews other than to attribute them to people involved with the film. There were some interesting aspects, but it became bogged down in chaos and poor editing. In the end, a frustrating waste of time sifting thru it.

Plot summary
Ben (Kelly Blatz) and Amber (Jenny Boyd) meet up in the idyllic heat of tourist Cambodia. They are immediately physically attracted, but what do they really know about one another? As Ben gets sucked in to Amber's vortex of nasty ex-partners and debilitating physical ailments, he forgets to question what precisely Amber is getting from their relationship, this results in one of the more beguiling and unnerving of closing sequences.

Big mess
not good
Amber Kelly (Jenny Boyd) is a tourist from Boston in Cambodia. Ben Trepanier (Kelly Blatz) is resting after his father's funeral. She may be way out of his league but he persists. She gets harassed by Nicolai who claims to know Amber. She claims to be suffering from epilepsy but it is much more supernatural.
Ben needs to be more appealing. He's not anything horrific but he's a bit too much of a bro. I hate his hipster hat. A great way to start the movie is coming to Amber's rescue when she's accosted by Nicolai. That scene is a better start and it would allow him to be a white knight riding to her rescue. In the scene with the local doctor, it costs him nothing to let Amber take the medicine. It would power the surprise if he is more open to it at first. He's just not that appealing and it matters very little what happens to him. For Amber, her supernatural half should be kept a secret much longer. The movie needs it to be a mystery for the first half. With a compelling lead, it could be a thrilling horror second half. I am intrigue with Jenny Boyd. She has a great haughty manner on her TV show. She seems to be a model with a limited acting background. This movie seems to be the better of her two films. This is not a terribly good showcase for anybody.
Highly Entertaining
While spending vacation in Cambodia with his two older brothers, Ben Trepanier (Kelly Blatz) flirts with the sexy Amber Kelly (Jenny Boyd) and they date. He has a crush on Amber and soon he learns that she is epileptic. Later he finds that Amber is indeed possessed by an evil entity and decides to help her to seek the cure using the support of the notorious witch doctor De Rais (Philip Philmar).
"Hex" is a highly entertaining horror movie, with a conclusion that recalls "Spellbinder (1988)". The first attraction is the beauty and the smile of the sexy Jenny Boyd. The exotic locations in Cambodia is another great attraction. The final plot point is unexpected and surprises the viewers. My vote is five.
