The bewigged, face lifted, slimmer and worked out, but, still so very handsome, Adrian Paul is back as the Highlander. This junk is horrible. Please, Adrian, the Highlander was great and superlative as a television series, but the Highlander movies (Endgame) and The Source fail, and fail miserably. Let them die. Do no more. I think he got the idea now from the reviews of The Source. This concoction was hard to watch. A murky, dark movie, and dark meaning everything looked as if it were shot in the middle of the night. Acting was awful---some weird plot to find the source--the origin--of the immortals. Adrian walks his way throughout the movie. He knew it was crap. He looks great with his new wig and face lift and slimmer than ever, but this is way beneath his talents. A ridiculous movie with so much screaming and yelling and fighting, it makes no sense. Takes place in some future world with trite sets and some maniac wearing a half helmet acting as a guardian, but to what, I have no clue. The movie has no purpose, no direction. It was awful.

Terrible. I feel sorry for Adrian
As bad as you've heard
I've sat through all of the HIGHLANDER films now, and to be honest, after the first three, they just aren't worth watching. I was never a fan of the TV show and these latter productions just feel like extended episodes, complete with cheesy TV-movie atmosphere.
HIGHLANDER: THE SOURCE is particularly bad, full of cringe-worthy romantic interludes, awful effects and some bad guys who'll make you chuckle at the ridiculousness of it all. The direction is terrible and the CGI effects worse; it feels like someone saw SILENT HILL and attempted to recreate the bad guy from it, to appalling effect.
As the hero, Adrian Paul is as wooden as they come and the folk who make up his 'crew' are a bunch of irritants. They're not the worst culprit, though; I've seen three of director Brett Leonard's films (this, HIDEAWAY and VIRTUOSITY) and they've all been poor, although HIGHLANDER: THE SOURCE is by far the worst.
Not good...
"Highlander: The Source" is an Action - Fantasy movie and another movie of the "Highlander" franchise, in which we watch Duncan MacLeod work together with some other immortals to find the origin of the first immortal and their immortality in general.
I have to admit that I did not have high expectations from this movie and I was not disappointed by it. The direction which was made by Brett Leonard, it was below average and the script was equally bad. Regarding the interpretation of Adrian Paul who played as Duncan MacLeod was not good and I believe he did not reach his potential. Finally, I have to say that "Highlander: The Source" is not the best "Highlander" movie and I cannot understand why they even filmed it. It would be better if this movie did not exist because it ruins the name of the whole "Highlander" franchise.
