I hadn't heard about "Hiteumaen" (aka "Hitman: Agent Jun") before now in 2021, when I was presented with the opportunity to sit down and watch it. Needless to say that with my fascination and love for the Asian cinema, then of course I took the time to watch "Hitman: Agent Jun".
And I must say that "Hitman: Agent Jun" is definitely well worth a watch. I turned out to be a rather enjoyable movie, so writers Won-sub Choi and Jung-Ryeol Sin definitely managed to come up with an entertaining concept idea for a movie.
"Hitman: Agent Jun" is a movie that has elements of action, espionage, drama and comedy in it, and it is a mixture that most certainly worked out well enough with director Won-sub Choi in charge.
The storyline was as entertaining as it was enjoyable, and it was a great mixture of different genres blended into one movie. I must admit that I was more than genuinely entertained by this movie and it was a rather nice surprise of a movie.
They had managed to get together a great ensemble of actors and actresses to portray the various roles in the movie, so that was definitely something that panned out well in favor of "Hitman: Agent Jun".
My rating of this 2020 movie lands on a seven out of ten stars.

This was surprisingly good...
Runs out of steam
The action comedy is about an agent who fakes his own death to live a normal life as a comic artist. There are some laughs but the story gets a little tired towards the end. Even with the fighting. The characters aren't endearing. Too many almost deaths.
Nothing new to the action comedy genre.

Duper gwontodaojo south korean hero movie of 2020, almost as lame as the hollywoods, but much funnier, honest and unfortunate civillian on the edges. some cool fight scenes, shootouts and cars on overdrive makes this a film you should see even though the highspeed seeking 90 minutes movie trotter will find this movie too slow on western standards. i think it outmanouvers the newly issued wonderwoman 100 folds .
an agent defects due to a wish to live a normal life. but by accident revealing his real identity 15 years later on the web makes every police agent run him down, accused for spying for the spies that usually spies on them.... will they believe his story???
remember this film is made for a culture with different norms and different rites, with a different enemy picture and different religion and letterlanguage than we westeners have so if its your first try ever viewing a south korean movie do have that on your mind.what hollywood has completely forgotten the past 20 years in superhero flicks is the pranky slapstick humour and the use of facial comedy, which youll get amounts of from that side of the globe.
so if youd like some common stuff action then view this. aint bad thinks the grumpy old man
