A upscale NY woman who married raised a son, and gave up her passion to be a Vet is now an empty nester. Those feelings drives her to buy tickets for she and her Husband for an African Safari for her "second honeymoon". Unfortunately, he isn't interested, and tells his wife he is moving out. She decides to go anyway, and finds her passion at an Elephant Sanctuary. I won't ruin the rest for you, but get out your kleenex fellow animal lovers.
So Well done and the Elephant Rescue aspect is the important theme since Poachers are MURDERING Elephants FOR THEIR IVORY and leaving homeless elephant babies to die alone in the Wild. Elephants in the Wild population is down 63% and is dwindling thanks to poachers and the associated profit and culture surrounding them.

I thought it was going to be a typical ROM-COM, but it's MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT....about Saving beautiful Sentient Elephants.
Beautiful Story
The movie isn't great, but the story and the message it brings is. Well worth the time to watch. I have enjoyed these these actors on screen in other presentations, but I fear the director did not optimize their talents in this film- yet their conveyance of the elephants' plight rings strong and true. This movie makes me want to return to Africa with haste.
Hard to top this one
With this great cast and on location gorgeous scenery it will be hard to top this one. A woman is about to become an empty nester as her boy goes to college. Her husband decides to leave her so she goes on her 2nd honeymoon to Zambia alone. She meets a pilot conservationist and gets involved in the plight of saving elephants.
Kristin Davis is so sweet and smiling and gives her unique charm to this movie. Also touching when she needs to be. Rob Lowe looks surprisingly in his element in the role. His real life son plays Kristin's son but he looks too old for an18 year old.
The story is sensitively written and meaningful for a holiday movie. The elephants are adorable.
Worth a watch.
