Another blind-woman-in-peril thriller, this time made by Natalie Dormer and her partner. Sadly, it's a far cry from the two-fer greatness of BLIND TERROR and WAIT UNTIL DARK, and indeed it's very much a ho-hum slice of hokum, too dark and too cheap to make any impact whatsoever. I like Dormer and always have - she's by far my favourite Anne Boleyn - but she has little to work with here, and the plot is needlessly complex and murky, although at its heart the story is interesting enough. The main problem is in the direction, which offers no suspense whatsoever, rendering the whole thing a bore.

A far cry from greatness
Even when you lie, you tell the truth.
Sofia (Natalie Dormer) is a blind pianist. She plays horror movie soundtracks and is capable of navigating herself through London with just a stick. When Blackhart Garden's neighbor Veronique (Emily Ratajkowski) falls from a window, the plot complexity picks up with numerous twists involving the police and Serbian war criminals.
It was a fairly good drama. Not one you will remember a month from now. Dormer gives a good performance.
Guide: No swearing as I recall. Sex and nudity (Emily Ratajkowski, Natalie Dormer)
Blind trust
Thrillers can be perceived as weak, but they are mostly emotional. Now after it is all over, it is easy to state, yeah I knew that was going to happen. But is it really fun? If you can, just enjoy the ride. It is not so much about guessing every twist and turn here, it is about going with the flow.
Taking the ups and downs and breathing in the suspension. Getting the tension and feeling empathy for the main character. Trying to put yourself in the same shoes and realizing what she goes through. Even more so after all is said and done. Is this a masterpiece? I would say no, but is it more than decent? Very much so - the acting matches the script and direction the movie receives.
