Blanche Gardin is a rising star in France. As a stand-up comedian she can please a lot of people and that's due to her unique stage presence and strange humor. She's very static on scene, just stands there for one hour and half, and without too much emotion she tells her story, which is by moments hilarious. Her unique view on worldly things and things that we take for granted are told in a way it will bring a smile to your face. Stand-up comedy is mostly a men's world, even though there are very good female comedians, but you can't deny there are just more men. Blanche Gardin can compete with all of them. I loved her show and will watch anything else she will make in the future. I'm a fan!

France's best female stand-up comedian.
Hilarious
A stand up comedy lasting 1 hour and almost half. But it doesn't feel long at all. Incredibly hilarious, Blanche has a well rounded stand up comedian's ability to touch upon taboo topics, teasing just a little over the edge with jokes but reeling it back in time for audience's comfort, and unafraid of self degradation. Blanche addresses so many societal issues in the modern day, she is brilliant in her story telling, keeping on track but covering a wide range of details and making incredible joke or pun connections where one least expects it. This movie ended with such an irony relating to the title and to her whole stand up comedy as well. Do we see it as tragedy? Or do we laugh it off like how we did her stand up comedy? Where do we draw our own lines betweem jokes and seriousness?
