Plot summary

Romance author Ethan Dulane's writer's block compromises his ninth novel delivery deadline under contract, so his agent booked an inspirational holiday away from his Manhattan luxury apartment, on a horse ranch upstate. It's quietly run by widower Frank McGregor, his daughters Hope and Joy and stable-hands, including ever-reliable Gabe Corsetti, whose real interest, the pragmatical one of the girls, isn't even aware of his silent crush, the swarming sister dotes Ethan's work. The inquisitive guest takes a moderate interest in horse but an expert view -albeit a stubborn single himself- at relationships, which inspires his next novel and the boost all ranch folks needed for years to face and grab opportunities.
