I score this 8/10 because I love Dany Boon.
He produces "woody Allen-esque" movies with more comedy leg room.
Also because as an English speaking person it is joyful to be immersed in French dialogue so my vocabulary can be stretched and exercised.
This movie contains settings that are pleasing to the eye such as the rich bohemian lifestyle.
Thwarted ambition and consequences of lust are common themes to Dany Boon's characters and plot.
The interplay between characters is somewhat theatrical, not unsurprising as I believe this film is adapted from a play.
What is a good film? One that engages you the audience from beginning to end.

Lightweight farce with charm and aesthetic.

Ratings are suspectfully low...
I found quite strange that ratings on this nice little comedy were so low. Maybe you need to talk french to enjoy this movie. It's not an oscar worthy but you ll laugh a lot with really sympathetic actors and incongruous theatrical situations.
