Another BOURNE-style action thriller, this time around starring Scott Adkins who is one of my favourite modern action stars. He gets to do his thing in a series of fights and shoot-outs, the highlight being an extended bout with a Chinese goon in which the actors really put their all into making what's on screen look convincing. The rest is sadly middling. This is a Ukrainian-shot movie with murky plotting, a simple MacGuffin-led story, and too many extraneous characters who don't add to the story very much. The quality of the action just about saves it, but it really is only acceptable work.

Bad southern accent aside which would be my version of "The Lies" or what some heard Robert Pattinson say in a completely different movie, this movie is quite by the numbers and you have to be either a fan of action movies in general or even better yet one of Scott Adkins. Because the action - well you've seen better stunt work I bet.

That does not mean this is a bad action movie in any sense of that word, it may be mediocre in your eyes or generally speaking. Still I've seen worse movies and Scott still can move everylimb of his body, so there's that ... the story is pretty thin, but while Scott has some fine acting moments in this, this isn't why you will be watching this anyway.

Folks who make movie trailers-not movies, should get academy awards cause the preview of this film convinced me to buy it; stupid me. It's plot is confusing, the characters are cardboard, the daughter is annoying, the "action scenes " are...yawn inducing. Scott Adkins is handsome and believable in his kick-but skills, I can't say anything else that's positive about this film.
