This is the future

James (Drew Van Acker) and Sophie (Addison Timlin) live in the city with their simple life and dreams. Their lives change when James inherits his father's not so Eco-friendly business. Sophie sets all the help free. They obtain Henry (Steven Strait ) an android to do all the work around the house. Henry becomes too animated and does things atypical of a robot.

It was an okay film with a twist and PLOT SPOILER, I could have done without the brief Brokeback scene.

Guide: F-word, sex, nudity.

Perfect (?)

The movie has quite some interesting ideas and notions. It does try to paint a picture where the humans are flawed ... to contrast the ... well "not human" they get to help them out. But is he helping them out or are they helping him? And what could be considered help anyway? So many questions outside the philosophical and ethical ones ... not that many are answered clearly. You'll be the judge.

Not perfect by a long shot, but intriguing to say the least. Watch it if you are into Science Fiction - acting is ok too.

how to kill the hope for a sequel...

In an otherwise complex and very well made science fiction drama movie. its like kraftwerk chimed once upon a time about ''me and meine robots'', that gave you a brave new synthezized synthetic view on music and humanity, where the music where so preprogrammed and robotic that it frightened a young boys sole.

its a film about humans too, with a high ace of nepotism clung to them, being high on wealth and money, flashing power and happiness to the surroundings, while in fact their lives are so stuck up and boring on love touch and emotions. the whole robot thing erupts when the lady of the house wish to get rid of their traditional live servants, reasoned that she wants to free them from their slavery.

so searching the market for a.i. housekeepers they stumble over 100% humanoid robots, that are preprogrammed to fulfill any unison wish from the lord and lady of the house.there are some technical issues in the programming, but its easily repaired by sending the robot to the dock of the bay, a prepacked docking and repair station that will fix the issue. but human emotions and every hormonal descicions made by humans are not a part of the robotic software, and that leaves the heat on .cause lust its like dust it usually piles up

its an unfunny but thoughtprovoking film, that feels like a dusted 1950's scifi flick when robots and martians where the big issue. the issues are decently grave enough to chew on, and it makes one want to put the modern robot hysteria on hold for some more decades. i do admire the cinematography and use of light in this flick, also the choice of cast , even though small, its doing a good job.

there are alot of positive things to say about this flick, on the hindside must be the plotspeed, and the obvious lack of the real thing sexually speaking, i think i will leave that to my bedchamber later on.so if you do not feel some kind of sexual arousal of the content like the grumpy old man did, then your almost for surtain a robot. its a recommend
