Boston Marathon Bombings

This documentary covers many aspects of the bombing. They cover the healing of those who survived. They speak briefly about those who died, in fact, they covered those who died in the trial of the remaining terrorist. They cover the timeline which includes the planting of the bombs. They cover the reasons why or at least touch on why the terrorists became terrorists.

I think the most important part is the trial. It is a good review of both sides of the coin, it has some who those who lost a loved one and were injured, asking for the death penalty to be removed, the others who were injured who wanted the death penalty. One of the injured asks, "What can we do to make this not happen again? What do we learn from this?"

It was a tearful documentary, several times.

In memory of - Krystle Campbell, Sean Collier, Lingzi Lu and Martin Richards who lost their lives that dreadful day.

Too much time spent on the victims personal lives for my interests

I went into this with the expectation of getting an account of the lead-up to the bombing, the bombing it self, and the subsequent investigation. These things are covered a little. Those parts were well done.

However, the documentary spends the vast majority of the time talking about the injuries to a few specific victims. That was interesting, initially. But it dragged on too much, and started to feel repetitive. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if all of personal stuff was segmented to one continuous timespan. Then I could just fast forward. That was not easy to do here, because it frequently jumped back and forth between stories about injuries, and information about the events and investigation.

Emotional documentary of the Boston bombing and impact on it's survivors.

Well-made documentary about the Boston bombing that took place during the Boston marathon in 2013.

With tons of video-footage covering most aspects the actual marathon, the bombing and even the chase of the suspects afterwards etc, but it's first and foremost a documentary about the victims and about overcoming a tragedy.

Focusing primarily on some of the survivors dealing with the aftermath, not only physical issues such as losing limbs but mental as well and we get to follow them around on a day to day basis as they try to piece their lives back together.

It gets very emotional at times and it was a struggle occasionally to hold the tears back.

So yeah most definitely worth watching.
