It was mostly enjoyable to see new characters. So many actors have repeated movie appearances and starring roles, movie after movie. This was the typical Christmas "feel good" movie we've come to expect. I'm not sure why critics are so careless to miss what Hallmark Christmas movies are all about and their primary intention--to make us feel good, celebrating the season, and reminding us of the impact of friends and family relationships.

Plot summary
Noelle (Milian) was raised by the queen of Christmas. When she inherits her late mother's house, she finds out that her mother had been hiring someone to decorate it--Dave (Taylor). The deal is off, but Dave convinces Noelle to let him carry on the tradition. As the display goes up, Noelle's defenses start to come down. She embraces the town's Christmas gala that was her mother's legacy, finds unexpected love, and develops a joy for the holidays that she never thought possible.

Just meh.
The likable cast can't overcome a lackluster script. These people are so boring.
Christina Milian is cute, and could probably be a fine actress, but she is given absolutely nothing to work with here.
