My Fiona is definitely an emotionally sad and beautiful film, and frankly I have not seen such a good quality Lesbian film in a loooooong time. The tone was also compounded with the loss of Jeanette Maus.
Plot summary
Best friends for life, Jane and Fiona have done everything together since kindergarten - Jane following wherever Fiona will lead. Left devastated and adrift following Fiona's sudden suicide, Jane's only way to make sense of everything is by helping Fiona's widow Gemma care for their young son Bailey. Polar-opposites, the two women have nothing in common save for their shared grief and love for Fiona. But as Jane's help offers some stability, Gemma can't help being drawn to her and an unexpected intimacy builds between them. However, is it enough to mend broken hearts and can Jane really keep living her life vicariously through Fiona's family?

An Emotional Heart Warming Treat
From the very first scene My Fiona takes you on an emotional roller coaster that will have you crying, laughing, angry, sad, love and happy all at the same time. The acting in this film is one of the best around. The writing and directing for this film was outstanding. Thank you for creating a film that takes us on the true emotion of death. I applaud you Kelly Walker for making my Fiona and how many lives it has impacted. The film of the decade.
Heartbreaking
I watched this on my birthday, and it broke my heart all throughout. I was not expecting it to be so hard hitting emotionally, and it's all in the incredible performances.
By the end I could barely see the screen through my tears. And to add to the hurt, I had no idea that this was Jaenette Maus' last role before she died. Great movie, but I don't know if I can watch it again.
