WORST MY LITTLE PONY GENERATION EVER!!! DONT WATCH IT!

This movie is worse than the other generation 3 movie cause it is GENERATION 3.5! One of the most girly, laziest and pink My Little Pony generations EVER!! The character desgins are to cutesy, i mean, why do they have "Big Hoofs" and why are there heads bigger than their bodies!?!? The animation is trash like the rest of generation 3, the music is worse than generation 3, the songs are annoying, the plot males no sense, and WORSE! NO STORY, NO ENTERTAINMENT, NO LIFE LESSONS, NO LAUGHS. This movie gets a 1/10! Dont watch this girly generation watch friendship is magic, my little pony tales, my little pony g5, and my little pony g1. They are way better than this trash!

Not one of the better ones, but nice enough

I admit I preferred My Little Pony as a child, but as a young adult re-visiting them as I do with most of my childhood favourites I don't think the franchise is anything to scorn at either. Twinkle Wish Adventure is a nice enough entry of the direct-to-video releases, most of which are corny but also surprisingly good with the best being Princess Promenade and A Very Pony Place. What I didn't like so much here in Twinle Wish Adventure was some embarrassingly corny dialogue, some of the teaching moments are too brief especially with the apology for lying one(I also took notice at how surprisingly un-remorseful the character was) and some of the ponies' personalities, perhaps in an attempt to give some depth but the whole sticking out tongues, sneaking around and lying dimensions were a far cry from the caring and sweet friends in the older episodes. However, the animation is colourful and looks very pretty overall, the music is both catchy and whimsical, the voice acting is solid and the story is sweet and charming with the morals of friendship and honesty valuable and proving good lessons indeed. All in all, nice enough but not one of the best for me. 7/10 Bethany Cox

Without a doubt, the best and cutest MLP movie ever

I have always been a fan of G3 My Little Pony compared to the bronies out there. When I saw that this was the last entry in my childhood generation I nearly tore up. Seeing the mixed reviews that others wrote for this movie made me tear up even more. But when I finally watched the movie, it almost immediately became my favorite movie in the entire franchise. And I wasn't even the right age for it.

The storyline is basically a "something happens before Christmas and the heroes have to save the day" plot; I've seen it done before, but this movie executed it beautifully. All seven of the protagonists - Pinkie Pie, Scootaloo, Toola Roola, Rainbow Dash and Cheerilee the Earth ponies, and Sweetie Belle the unicorn and Starsong the Pegasus - have their share of cute and heartwarming moments throughout the movie, and they were enough to make me smile and feel happy.

The songs were really catchy, but my favorite of all was the My Little Pony theme song at the beginning of the movie. Had this generation lasted long enough to warrant a TV show, I can definitely see it becoming the intro music. The voice acting was really good, too, and I thought it was almost amusing that two of the voice actresses from the upcoming generation Friendship is Magic - Tabitha St. Germain and Andrea Libman - agreed to volunteer for this movie.

I was really concerned when Twinkle Wish got captured by Whimsy the dragon. I actually thought she was going to harm her, or deliberately hide her so the festival couldn't happen. But when I found out she was just as friendly and playful as everybody else in the movie, I breathed a sigh of relief. The fact that she was able to return her to the festival and join everybody in the fun made me shed some tears of joy.

Above all, I think My Little Pony: Twinkle Wish Adventure is an absolutely perfect way for the third generation of My Little Pony to say goodbye to its fans, both old and new. I'd especially recommend watching it on Christmas Eve or Day, since even though Christmas isn't explicitly mentioned in the movie, I can't help but think that Christmas takes place right after the Winter Wishes Festival at the end. If you're not into cute stuff like this, I don't think you should watch this, but if ever there was a "Cutest Movie of 2009" award, this movie would win it, no doubt about it.

I'm going to miss you, G3 My Little Pony. I sincerely thank you for all of the wonderful, magical and absolutely adorable memories that you shared with the world. You will always be better than My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in my honest opinion, no matter how many equally cute moments that next generation will bring. Goodbye. <3
