Fantastic, this is genuinely a fantastic film. The first 5 minutes had me sobbing of sadness. It shows the true feelings of the loss of life and how it ripples throughout the surrounding environment. I think the less you know about this film the better it is, you should just jump right into it and watch it all. The only problem I personally have with it is that it can drag out a little bit near the middle, other than that I personally think it is flawless.

Tomisaburô Wakayama is mainly known for his roles in samurai movies (The Mute Samurai, Shinobi no mono etc) but he plays such a wonderful part and his performance is perfect. Hideko Takamine is also wonderful, and has really great chemistry with Wakayama and has a perfect performance.
