Congrats to Wong Jing, after almost 30 years he finally managed to complete his adaptation of Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre.
Slightly better than the previous film although it also suffers from a convoluted plot, a lack of proper character development and a rushed ending. Probably adapting its thick source material merely into two films wasn't the best decision.
Plot summary
The masters of the Six Major Sects are trapped in Wan On Temple, each of whom was hit with the Ten Scents Poisonous Powder, and have lost all their martial powers.

Very disappointing
They ruined a classic novel and movie. Remake of classic movies don't usually go well. This classic novel has been remade into movies and tv dramas many times. Do not understand why they cannot come up with something new instead.
The casting was terrible, even though they hired mostly A class actors. Raymond Lam is rather old for the role. Should have played the father role in the movie.
Special effects are terrible.
Costumes and makeup are like copy from some kind of western foreign fantasy film. Donnie Yen looks like St. Nick in the movie.
They rewrote some of the story that was not part of the classic novel
Waste of time and money.
