I was cheated.

Violence, gore, strong language...all that you would expect from an adult horror film.

I enjoyed it,up to a point.

Ultimately I felt cheated.

As one would,I spent the whole of the film wondering who is behind the mask? Who is the killer?

I waited with anticipation as I saw the mask being removed...did I guess right?

I never found out as the film ended like a damp squib, with no reveal at all.

This made me feel that 90 minutes of my life had been taken from me and wasted.

So,a decent horror effort but ultimately,a huge disappointment.

Not a comedy or horror

I've read that people are liking this to a slasher movie, it isn't, there's no slashing shown. In fact, there's only one onscreen kill, by an explosion. Horror, nope, suspense is all it is, and that's not plentiful. Comedy, no, although Natasha Killip (Lauren) did provide a couple of funny lines. This is more like a whodunnit, but it's left up to you to work out who actually did it, so there's no big reveal, except two hand gestures. If you want to kill 92 minutes, I suppose this is ok. I'm not recommending this to anybody.

Dreadful indie

Don't be fooled like I was into thinking British comedy/horror PAINTBALL MASSACRE (2020) is going to be a throwback to solid low-budget fare of the 2000s like SEVERANCE, DOG HOUSE or WILDERNESS. This turns out to be a cheap and unconvincing indie drama in which most of the budget seems to have been spent on hiring comedienne Katy Brand and Lee from Steps as the "big name" draws (!). The story involves a high school reunion at a paintball game turning murderous; those expecting bloody mayhem will be disappointed with the pitiful CGI-enhanced gore effects, while the characters are horribly irritating throughout. One to avoid!
