While I was watching this I started to keep a list of the problems I could see an easy fix for but the list became so long that I realized it was just the frame of the movie that I was taken with. That frame is: Five film-making students in Berlin go to a castle that had been converted to a satellite experimental-type hospital for the nazis to use on the inmates of a nearby concentration camp. This is a found footage movie with drones. As the ominous, aerial POV shot is one of my personal near-necessary tropes I found this effect to be dazzling. Then the shortcomings started to overcome the movie; so I'm going to leave it at a slight pan. Slight because I do like the movie, just FIX IT. F'rinstance, there was not enough blood or damage in general to the ones caught by the demon. When Steve? was attacked by the demon, instead of just using his light halo on the ground as the visual (from his headlamp) his lower body should have been visible within the light halo, from the lamp being displaced, and he should have been much more mutilated than he was visually represented, because audibly he WAS more mutilated and that way the two representations could have jibed.

Plot summary
An international group of film students finds a disturbing video clip on the dark web which seems to contain poltergeist phenomena. Agreed that it's just what they need for their latest documentary project the group travels to the sanatorium shown in the video clip. Once there, they rig up their camera equipment and start to explore the possible ghost activities - until the true horror begins.

What a damn shame
Paranormal rubbish...
Sure, when I sat down in 2021 to watch the 2018 movie titled "Paranormal Demons", I have to admit that my first thought was 'great, another paranormal movie'. But still, I opted to watch it, on the odd chance that writer and director David Brückner actually managed to come up with something worthwhile.
Needless to say that writer and director David Brückner didn't come up with something worthwhile here.
The storyline was so mundane and trivial that it was painful to sit through. Everything that took place throughout the course of this movie is something that has been done countless times in other movies of the same kind, more often than not also done better in other movies, mind you.
"Paranormal Demons" feels like a movie project that is something you could just as well and just as easily have made yourself. Just get a video camera, bring together a group of friends, and get a dubious costume for the entity, and you are well on your way.
This movie was filmed in a documentary manner. I don't really enjoy that, because when I sit down to watch a movie and throw my time and money after it, then I want a movie that is properly produced and have a proper movie quality to it, not something that I could have filmed myself with my digital video camera at home.
The acting in the movie was actually fair enough, but the actors and actresses had next to nothing to work with in terms of script, storyline and properly detailed characters.
As for "Paranormal Demons" being a horror movie, well I will say that the term horror is used very lightly here. There was nothing scary about "Paranormal Demons" at all, unless you consider a man wearing a bad latex mask as scary, or consider almost an hour and a half of dubious footage as scary.
"Paranormal Demons" is not a movie that I would recommend you waste your time, money or effort on. Some of us suffered through it so you don't have to.
My rating of the 2021 movie "Paranormal Demons" lands on a two out of ten stars.
Needless camera effecr ruins much of movie
This project could have been tolerable if not for the needless and over-used "camera flicker" effect throughout the movie. That effect was so distracting that it ruined what could have been at least tolerable action scenes. While this was clearly a low-budget project, it did at least show the "students" trying to actually FIGHT the evil monster/killer. That was refreshing. Without the unnecessary camera flicker, this movie could have been at least a 5, which is respectable. All the cliches are there, but if you watch a movie like this you expect that.
