Sanya & Radhika have taken this film to another level. The idea for the story was great and could have been a brilliant short film story too. But the screenplay was above average. Not bad nor great. But am very happy that here is a film with a good story line but no male leads. It's driven by 2 female characters and the fact that the film is not about rape victim, daughter fighting to prove what she is to her parents/ husband, a lonely woman in a man's world etc,. This is full on woman vs woman, sister vs sister, great acting vs great acting. Kudos to both the actresses but Vijay Raaz doesn't vanish in between these two girls. He performs what he does best. Sunil Grover is as usual anywhere. Happy that Vishal is still Vishal.
A film worthy of watching again.

A Classic Rural Acting Class
Mirror of society
Good watch, object of social discrepancy and love.N narration between two sister but narrate social violence, family violence and love
An Irritating Watch / 4 Stars
Pataakha (Firecracker) keeps you engaged and if you manage to look beyond the annoyance caused by the on-screen sisters (in very good performances by Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan) and their mindless, sometime genuine quarrels originating from a psychological misbearing, it will also impress you. Unfortunately, I was not impressed because most of the times the quarrels felt like too much and I sensed the actors were overacting. An irritating watch. TN.
