It sucks to be nice, and Pete Lee does it better than anyone. He hopes no one will be offended by his jokes about drugs, motion sensor sinks, people pleasing and avoiding conflict. He's just so darn pleasant. So grab a drink and laugh - Pete knows you'll probably get up to pee or take a phone call during the show, and he's cool with it.

Brilliant joke writing
The writing of his jokes stands out as among the best joke writers I've ever witnessed, and I watch/listen to a LOT of standup comedy - as in, well over a hundred hours of standup watched every year, and I've surely seen many, many hundreds of standup comics, and this guy is right among the very best.
His joke delivery is good, but it's the thought behind the jokes that I think makes him great.
He may appeal more to an intelligent audience, and he might alienate the dumb redneck audience, because Pete is the epitome of a metrosexual: he is feminine, people pleasing, and a 'nice' gentle good guy - the type of guy that so many women 'claim' they would like to meet (while too many women are attracted to tough, bad guys who treat them like garbage.)
Homophobes may take the line early in his routine that he has a girlfriend with reservation - and tough truck driving Trump supporters probably can't relate to his sensitive nature. That sort of person will be turned off by Pete's appearance as effete.
His jokes were smart enough that I'm in the middle of watching this routine for a second time - and that is very rare for me to do, with the exception of world class comics, like George Carlin, whose routines can be watched again and again and again.
I don't think Pete ever gets political at all with any of his jokes, but I think you will like this guys standup routine, UNLESS you are the sort of person who thinks every word that Trump has ever said is gospel - or, unless you think men should be the strong, macho, silent type.
And this guy might even appeal to female Trump supporters, if you're yearning to see a sensitive, smart guy who isn't going to spend the hour talking only about trucks and sports or beer or guns - or libs.
In summary, if you look up the definition of the word metrosexual on the net, you'll probably see this guys photograph.
He's a standup comic for the 2020's smart, sensitive viewer.
