The movie keeps you engaged for the full length with twisted scenarios, that makes it really thrilling and it's worth watching. The games played by the bomber and the cop are really clever and the religion seems to help the law.
I recommend.
Plot summary
When an explosive plant at a gas station kills a police sapper, the chief police officer assigns Gebels from the homicide unit to the case. The investigation leads him to the trail of a criminal from the armed arm of the Pershing group - a bomb maker and kidnapper, behind dozens of attacks in Poland and over a hundred kidnappings across the country. The confrontation between the bandit and the dog turns into a regular war. Years have passed since these events. The son of Gebels, known from the series, Jarek, who is a computer science student at the Polytechnic University, together with his friends finds a risky way to earn a quick income and, using his knowledge, starts breaking into the villas of rich people. Bad luck wants him to choose the wrong house one night, and Gebels faces a hopeless situation in which he has to put his own child in prison. Could be a policeman who arrests a criminal. Or a father who will save the child.

Vega has established his quality and style
Vega is a Polish movie creator who has established his recognizable style. It resembles dark bloody crime stories from France rather than from any other countries.
The quality of photography and editing is always very good from Vega. This one does not disappoints either. It is a dark, grim police story or rather crime story initially told by a gifted bomber and kidnapper how he faced a cop who brought him down.
Vega enjoys inserting some important moments of modern Polish history into his movies. He does the same here.
All is told nicely smoothly in the sauce of some religious discovery made by the cop - Exodus book of Bible.
Good pace. Dark climate. Good acting.
I am glad that Polish movie creator produces such good quality movies.
Enthralling, Gripping, Gritty & Raw - Watched in English Subtitles )
I went to view this at the Castleford Cineworld in Yorkshire, England ,UK.
On entry there was a fair amount of eastern Europeans and Polish entering the viewing and I can I certainly see why... The film was well scripted throughout with interesting deep characters. This flow of the film was good and it became more and more engaging throughout.
The acting was effortless and the characters were totally believable. The film gets better as it develops, it can be a little dark and solemn in parts but there is some small witty bits of humour. It has everything you want from a gangster film.
The cinematography is also well produced.
Highly recommended, I'd love to see a second film.
