I watched uncut gems then forgot about it for a while then Kanye and Julia fox started dating so she was now everywhere howbeit I couldn't quite remember seeing her in uncut gems or anything else ergo I decided to check out her other works since I don't like revisiting things because there's always so much you haven't seen yet so it doesn't make sense to go back in my opinion, even if you love that particular film or show you could be exploring others that are potentially good that you're missing out on. Before going on to talk about the movie itself I just want to say I think that's the longest sentence I've ever written down and I'm not proofreading out of fear of grammatical errors.
Anyway, I didn't get the movie. Not exactly a fan of movies like this because it's filmed like it was homemade and feels like a project made by a group of friends. There's really nothing special about it, It explores the relationship of a cam-girl with her client, focusing on mostly the client and there wasn't much to him, so the main character lacks depth and the supporting character(cam girl) with a more interesting life isn't explored as much either so the movie just comes off shallow and flimsy. As far as I know, there aren't many movies that explore characters like these properly and this was the chance to and it failed to. There's a story there, but has nothing meaningful, it's just a guy who gets "phished"(if I remember my I. T. terminology correctly from high school). Not every movie has to have meaning for it to be good, but this is something that could have simply been a short film like 13min but was made into an hour thirty. It is a believable story so I'll give it that and for some reason I wasn't bored but when it ended I just thought what was the point of all that? Julia fox unclad is probably the only memorable thing about this. And the ending, imagine being so down bad that even after she takes everything away from you, you're still trying to hit.

Underrated at this stage.
Even before seeing this PVT chat was an exciting prospect for me. Ben Hozie is quite interesting, the promotional material had me curious and I like Julia fox and Buddy Duress a lot. They were both great but Peter Vack stole the show, his performance is nothing short of brilliant.
At this stage I think PVT chat is underrated. This is a film that probes addiction and reprocustions of addiction deeply, tells telling an erotic engaging story whilst feeling authentic every step of the way. All the characters are very watchable and the dialogue flows like a conversation you might have. None of the nudity is overly gratuitous, it all adds to the characters and to the story. The live can element to the film is presented truthfully which felt like a breath of fresh air, a film that understands technology is something that shouldn't be so impressive, but it is.
I have a few minor complaints. There are a couple continuity errors for visuals sake which I find a little annoying, there are semi-frequent irritating cheesy sound effects and some of the writing feels a little too convenient occasionally.
Use of Beethoven' beautiful piece 'Piano sonata no. 1' is great and sparing. The piano score isn't anything amazing but it is also used thoughtfully and it is emotionally effective.
PVT chat is a film that really resonated with me. It explores interesting themes and interesting dynamics between people all very authenticity and carefully. Check it out, It has a great sense of tone so even if you don't enjoy the story or if the subject matter makes you uncomfortable there are enough funny moments for you to get some enjoyment at least.
